The Localness

This set of photos takes place in a building in an old Shanghai neighbourhood. This set of pictures make me rethink my hometown, Shanghainese culture, and the local people as a photographer. While shooting the pictures, what I miss the most is the interesting sense of old-fashioned and modern in the city. This theme explores a typical local Shanghainese’s daily life. There is a moment of stress, laziness, boredom, witty, etc… These emotions directly show the chemistry between a person and a neighbourhood, which can immediately bring viewers into the atmosphere, and make them feel like they are travelling in Shanghai.
