Sença Design Festival
- festival/event, branding, graphic design, signage system - digital, print, video, 3D mockup The Sença Design Festival is an imaginary design festival held at a park in Nantes, France. It is meant to help people understand the importance of five senses in our daily life, as well as to educate people about inclusive design for disabled people, especially the ones who do not have full senses. The festival is inclusive, educational, engaging, and playful for all-aged participants. The festival activities are made up of a Five Sense Maze and four design workshops that help participants understand design through a playful process. In the maze, people will feel the loss of vision, hearing, feeling, smell, and taste at each section. The festival naming idea comes from the French phrase sans ça, which means “without it”. It links to the festival topic -- disability. On the other hand, the word sens means “sense”, and it has a similar pronunciation to “sans”. Thus, here comes the festival name Sença.
